An absent Adele, and Emeli Sandé were top winners at the 2013 BRIT Awards held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.
The plus-sized British singer was awarded the ‘Best British single’ James Bond themeSkyfall but received the award and gave her acceptance speech via a video from Los Angeles. Adele is preparing for her performance at the Oscars.
Sandé won two awards - best British female and British album, while Ben Howard scooped best British male and breakthrough.
Bajan Pop star Rihanna lost out to country singer Lana Del Ray for the ‘Best international female artiste’ while Frank Ocean picked up the award for ‘Best international male’.
The awards was held at the London’s O2 Arena.
